About HITAM
Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM), established by M/S Royal Educational Society in 2001 and formerly known as Royal College of Engineering, is located in Hyderabad, Telangana. Accredited by NAAC and NBA, affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, and approved by AICTE, HITAM is a private institute committed to excellence.
HITAM is India’s first green campus to receive a Silver Rating, emphasizing environmental consciousness with natural cooling towers, abundant greenery, and the use of local materials. The proactive vision of our founders, implemented nearly a decade ago, ensures cooler temperatures and a breeze through the corridors, fostering creativity and learning. Our green campus not only promotes a calm and inspiring environment but also instills ecological responsibility in our students. Alongside our state-of-the-art facilities, including labs, libraries, and classrooms, we offer sports amenities, medical dispensary, hygienic canteen, and college buses, ensuring all basic student needs are met.

The
History
Sri Arutla Ramachandra Reddy
Arutla Ramachandra Reddy was elected twice to the Assembly and represented Ramayampet (Medak) and Bhongir (Nalgonda). Such was their selfless devotion to public cause that they even turned down the allotment of land given to all MLAs in the up market Banjara Hills area in Hyderabad. HITAM, as an institution, draws inspiration from their lives and seeks to live up to the values upheld by such noble souls, viz. absolute sincerity in their ceaseless search for the purpose of their lives. HITAM believes that education is the soul of the society and aspires to contribute its mite towards academic progress.
Dr. Arutla Kamala Devi
Dr. Arutla Kamala Devi was elected to the assembly thrice from Alair (Nalgonda Dist.) and was general secretary of the AP Women’s Federation. She is the first and only woman opposition leader of AP Assembly till date. The Kakatiya University conferred an honorary Doctorate degree on her.

A mechanical engineer who has an MDP from Harvard, USA, Prashanth is the grandson of Sri Arutla Ramachandra Reddy and Dr. Arutla Kamala Devi, who spent the best part of their lives for the betterment of the less privileged in the Telangana region. The founder’s vision stems from the illustrious lineage he belongs to.

Our autonomous status allows us to swiftly adapt our curriculum to meet industry demands through our CAP (Curriculum, Assessment, and Pedagogy) system, enhancing academic performance. Students gain higher-order thinking skills and field experience through internships, projects, and volunteer work, supported by initiatives like SSDC, EWB, GCSP, EPICS, and Hackathon Club. With 40% of faculty holding PhDs and 50% pursuing them, we employ research-centric methods and adjunct industry faculty. Our students develop both technical and soft skills through activities like TEDx, Toastmasters, SSG, Affinity Clubs, HR Conclave, NCC, and NSS, and engage in professional chapters like IEEE, IETE, ISNT, ISTE, and SAE.

George Mason University, USA
George Mason University (GMU) is a public research university in Fairfax County, Virginia near Washington, D.C. Named after the Founding Father of the United States George Mason, it began as a branch campus of the University of Virginia in 1957. It opened its first campus in 1964 on 150 acres from the City of Fairfax with an initial cohort of 52 students. GMU gained independence in 1972 and has since grown to accommodate 40,000 students from 130 countries and all 50 states.
GMU is now the largest public university in Virginia. Notably, two professors, James M. Buchanan in 1986 and Vernon L. Smith in 2002, were awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics during their tenure at GMU.
EPICS: Purdue University, USA
Purdue University is a public land-grant research university in West Lafayette, Indiana. Businessman John Purdue of Lafayette gave money and property to build a college of science, technology, and agriculture, and as a result, the university was established in 1869. Renowned for its engineering program, it has been recognized by major institutional rankings as one of the top public universities in the United States.
RWTH Aachen University, Germany
RWTH Aachen University was founded in 1870 and has a long history of academic distinction and innovative research. It has produced some of the world’s most renowned scientists, engineers, and CEOs. Being designated as a “University of Excellence” began in 2007 when RWTH Aachen was selected as one of the TU9 German Universities of Excellence for its future concept, RWTH 2020: Meeting Global Challenges. As one of the leading technical universities globally, RWTH Aachen University stands tall among the top 100 universities worldwide and holds the prestigious position of being the foremost among the TU9 German Universities of Technology.
Woosong University, South Korea
Woosong University was established in 1995 and has a long history of outstanding work in education, teaching, and training. It is a specialized university located in Daejeon, South Korea, that provides specialized curricula based on practice and theory. WSU’s three international schools, SolBridge International School of Business, Endicott College of International Studies, and JW Kim College of Future Studies, are conducted solely in English by renowned international professors.

Walsh College, Michigan, USA
Established in 1922 by Mervyn Walsh, Walsh College began as the Walsh Institute in Detroit with only 23 students. By 1928, enrollment grew to 286 students, prompting its evolution into Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration in 1968. With a move to Troy and expansion into various disciplines like finance and management, Walsh College has become a renowned institution of academic excellence. Boasting innovative programs like its online MBA and strong partnerships with community colleges, Walsh College remains committed to providing quality education as it celebrates its centennial in 2022.
