Student Self Governance
SSG aims to enhance leadership skills and off-class learning, bridging the gap between the governing body and students’ needs by enabling student participation in management review meetings.
SSG encourages creativity, leadership, risk-taking, and learning from mistakes, facilitating the ideas of today’s youth. The initiative is dedicated to safeguarding and enhancing the rights, opportunities, and quality of life for all students at the institutional level.
NCC
Established at HITAM in 2022, our NCC Army Wing comprises 36 cadets who enthusiastically participate in all NCC activities, making our college and nation proud. Actively recruiting HITAM students, the NCC leads initiatives for social awareness and positive impact. As a voluntary organization, the National Cadet Corps in India recruits high school, college, and university students, known as Cadets. With around 1.2 million students enrolled annually, NCC provides basic military training in small arms and parades.

With well over 26+ affinity clubs and countless lively sports areas at HITAM, you never lose touch of your passions and discover new interests, enriching your college experience beyond academics.
Wellness Club
At HITAM’s Wellness Centre, we provide personalized attention to students, faculty, and staff, promoting overall well-being through individual and group counseling sessions.
Certified counselors create a safe space for students to address various issues, including anxiety management, exam pressure, and workplace dynamics.
The centre also fosters inclusivity and self-esteem through activities held every Saturday during Affinity club hours.
A mentor-mentee system ensures continuous support, enhancing students’ academic and mental readiness for successful engineering careers.
Hackathons
The Hackathon Club of HITAM conducted the inter-college Hackathon, ‘Hack Your Path 5.0’ on 8th and 9th December 2023. More than 30 teams participated in the event which included about 10 teams from other colleges. The Team Quadaret from VJIT was announced the winner with Team Virtuowaiters from VIT and Team Bots from HITAM at the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The winning teams received a total prize worth Rs. 50,000.

Grand Challenges Scholars
Program (GCSP)
The Grand Challenges Scholars Program, initiated by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), USA, is designed to enhance students’ skills in research, creative problem-solving, multidisciplinary engineering, entrepreneurship, and social and cultural awareness. HITAM proudly stands as the first institute in India to embrace this initiative, graduating 16 students in its inaugural cohort and 49 in the following, demonstrating our commitment to developing future engineering leaders equipped to tackle global challenges.

Career Design Center (CDC)
The Career Design Centre at HITAM is dedicated to guiding students toward successful careers by imparting essential life skills and cultivating key professional attributes. Through tailored training programs and industry connections, the Centre focuses on enhancing employability skills, empowering students for diverse career paths including entrepreneurship and advanced academia .
The Training & Placement division continuously refines existing programs and introduces new ones, overseeing initiatives like the Industry Linkage Program and Entrepreneurship Development Program. Each program is meticulously designed to boost student confidence and teamwork abilities, ensuring their readiness for the professional world.
