HITAM Hosts HR Conclave 2.0: Shaping Synergies For Future Workforces

The Career Design Centre (CDC) of Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM) conducted the HR Conclave 2.0 on 14th December 2024 at the Institute Auditorium, centered on the theme “Getting Ready for Industry 5.0.” The event brought together industry leaders, HR professionals, and aspiring students to discuss the evolving workplace dynamics, emphasizing the synergy between AI and Human-Centric Collaboration in the Industry 5.0 era.

The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by presentations from distinguished speakers, including:

Sanchit Ranjan – Project Manager, Microsoft
Pranav Singh Thakur – Director, Balaji CNC Technologies

Key insights included Mindset Transformation to future-proof careers with creativity, empathy, and boldness; Design Thinking as a catalyst for innovation; and the importance of mastering AI Communication Skills like Prompt Engineering. The speakers also highlighted the STAR method for interview success, opportunities in core industries like manufacturing and aerospace, and Gen Z’s Edge—balancing work-life priorities while building personal brands.

An engaging roundtable on “AI and HR – Shaping Synergies for Future Workforce,” moderated by ECE student Heramba Sai Ganesh, delved into pressing questions. Topics included AI’s impact on jobs, the value of certifications, the salary gap between IT and core industries, and strategies to enhance awareness of core sector opportunities.

The conclave concluded with a call to action, urging participants to embrace change, develop Industry 5.0 skills, and foster collaboration between humans and AI.
