About The Department of Electrical Engineering
The Department of Electrical Engineering at HITAM was inaugurated in 2001. It offers a 4-year Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program, which involves eight semesters. HITAM is considered one of the top engineering colleges in Telangana. We have also introduced the MTech program in Power Electronics. The department of EEE aims to be the centre of excellence in electrical engineering and envisions producing skilled and competent engineers. Its mission is to embrace an efficient teaching and learning method. It aims to ensure efficiency in emerging technologies, while remaining accountable through continuous improvement and self-evaluation.

Future Scope
B.Tech in Electrical Engineering can reveal a slew of job opportunities for you. After completing BTech in EEE, you can opt for either electrical engineering jobs or higher studies. The jobs for electrical engineers are evident in both the private and public sectors. If an individual opts for a government job, it can be through central government competitive exams such as IES, RRB, PSU, and UPSC. The PSU offers jobs in Maharatna&’s (ONGC, NTPC, SAIL, etc.), Navaratna&’s (BHEL, BPCL, HPCL, etc.), and Miniratnas&’s (NHPC, BSNL, EIL, etc.).
The state government jobs are in GENCO, PSC, and TRANSCO. The private jobs are offered by Schneider, L&T, Essar Steel, IBM, TCS, HCL, CTS, WIPRO, etc. HITAM holds profound placement records, and candidates of 2022 from EEE got selected in PRACTO, INTELLIPAAT, HARMAN, MINDTREE, HEXAWARE, CAPGEMINI, Full Creative, Infinity Learn, and others.
