Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering started right from the inception of the college in the year 2001. The primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research at the undergraduate level in various fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering with broad emphasis on design aspects of electronic systems. The Department presently offers UG Programme B.Tech with an intake of 120 Students

The Department has several well-equipped laboratories, namely, Microwave Engineering, Digital Communications, Analog Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Basic Simulation, Analog Electronics, Micro Processor and Microcontroller. The Department motivates students to take up innovative projects through participation actively through in-house Projects.

Career Prospects

Electronics & Communication Engineering open up with great career prospects for the students. The students after completion of the degree can easily avail job opportunities in manufacturing industries and service organizations such as broadcasting, consulting, data communication, entertainment, research and development; and system support. The candidates can also work in modern multimedia service firms that are involved in real-time transfer of information through video conferencing and internet broadcasting.

Program Outcomes

Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
