Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is started in 2008. The department offers four year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program (comprising of eight semesters). Subsequently, M.Tech. program on Advanced Manufacturing System had been introduced. The Department is composed of experienced (Three Doctorates) and young faculty to deal latest trends and technologies in transforming the knowledge and develop skill set. How ever, the department is constantly organising skill development programs through Student Skill Development Centre (SSDC). Since there is a great scope, the Department is encouraging and facilitating industrial visits, Internship programs in order to connect with industry.

Program Outcome's

  • Engineering knowledge

    Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis

    Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions

    Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems

    Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
